Currently a senior Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Tübingen (Germany) in the group of Professor Braun, I have been a Marie Curie Fellow from 2018 to late 2020 in the QTeQ group at Queen’s University Belfast with Professor Mauro Paternostro. Details about my Marie Curie project pERFEcTO can be found here.
Previously, I was a Postdoc in the group of Prof. Caslav Brukner at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) in Vienna, and even before at the National Institute for Optics (INO) and National Research Council (CNR) in Italy, working with Prof. Francesco Marin, and Visiting Scientist at SISSA. I obtained my PhD (2012-2016) under the supervision of Prof. Stefano Liberati at the School of Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste. Before that, I obtained my Master in Theoretical Physics and Bachelor in Physics from the University of Pavia (2007-2012), supervised by Prof. Giacomo M. D’Ariano, Prof. Paolo Perinotti, and Prof. Barbara Pasquini. I am an alumnus of Collegio Ghislieri (2007-2012) and the Institute for Advanced Studies IUSS of Pavia (2007-2012) from which I obtained the diploma in Science & Technologies under the supervision of Prof. Giorgio Goggi and Prof. Claudio Dappiaggi.
My research interests lie in the overlap of quantum information, gravity, and thermodynamics with a particular interest in phenomenology. I have also worked in high-energy physics, analogue gravity, and quantum gravity. For more details see the Research section.
